Dr. Moriarty is a native of Poughkeepsie, graduating from Arlington High School and receiving her degree in Business and Administration at Marist College. Dr. Moriarty always idolized her mother, Phyllis Moriarty, founder of Moriarty Physical Therapy, for both her hard work and commitment to the field of physical therapy. Dr. Moriarty followed in her mother’s footsteps and enrolled in the Physical Therapy program at NYU, where she graduated Valedictorian. She continued to work alongside Phyllis until 2004 when Phyllis passed the torch to her and retired from the profession. Dr. Moriarty continued her commitment to the profession by receiving her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Shenandoah University, VA.

Dr. Moriarty is proficient in manual treatment techniques for patients with varying orthopedic and neurological dysfunctions. Her philosophy for treatment has been to treat everyone like family, with a patient and warm heart. With a long-standing reputation of optimal care, Dr. Moriarty continues to treat semi-professional athletes and post-surgical patients referred from Hospital for Special Surgery, Albany Medical Center, Hospital for Bone and Joint Disease, and Columbia Presbyterian. Dr. Moriarty has been a Clinical Instructor for Doctoral Students throughout the Tri-state area including NYU, Ithaca College, New York Medical College, and Quinnipiac College. She specializes in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation, with continuing education and certifications in advanced manual techniques and functional movement analysis. Dr. Moriarty is on the Board of Directors for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Marist College.

Her commitment to her patients is a direct reflection of her commitment to her family and her children. Dr. Moriarty lives for her children, and when she is not in the office caring for her patients, she is on the soccer field cheering her kids to victory. She enjoys watching movies and Netflix Original movies. Dr. Moriarty loves spending time with her husband, Dr. Quinn, and their children both at home and on vacation.

Schedule a FREE 15-minute Exploration Visit

Come visit one of our physical therapy clinics in New York or North Carolina and one of our Doctors of Physical Therapy will do a 15-minute consultation to see if physical therapy is right for you. In the consultation, we’ll help determine the source of pain and movement restrictions to see if you would benefit from physical therapy or might need the assistance of another healthcare professional. If so, we’ll make a referral and help speed up achieving your health goal.

You have nothing to lose; the screening is free! And if physical therapy could help you, we can perform the examination right then–even without a prescription–with Direct Access (covered by insurance).
